Eric proposed to me on May 26, 2009 at Reunion Tower in Dallas. We were eating dinner alone, & when it was time for dessert I did not receive my molten fudge brownie... instead, the waiter brought a robin-egg-blue ring box {yes... from Tiffany's} sitting on a bed of rose petals! I soon learned that Sharon & Mike Meyer {our dear married friends} were secretly at the restaurant to capture the entire proposal on camera. The four of us then walked around the corner to the lounge area to "call my mom & tell her the good news", only to find that my family, Eric's family, & our close friends were all there to greet us with lots of celebratory champagne! Eric did SUCH a wonderful job planning the entire thing... with my mom's help, of course!

The very next day I called to book the Robert Carr {TCU} Chapel... only to learn that there would be a 15 month wait for a Saturday evening ceremony.
Trust me, It was well worth the wait.
For the 15 months following our engagement, I blogged about all of our wedding details and ideas... something I value so much now that the entire thing feels like a total blur of happiness.
